The Power of Words

Wow! Last night was such an incredible night to see our special group of young ladies advance in regionals and qualify for the state basketball tournament! So proud of our girls! After the game came an incredible gift for my daughter MiKayla. Kristen Wiseman’s wonderful dad came and talked to MiKayla after the game. He told her that he was proud of her and wanted her to know that her dad was proud of her too. MiKayla’s dad died when she was 11 years old and Kylee was 13 and my son PK (who we miss with all of our hearts) was 16. My daughters miss their daddy so much. I could immediately see in my daughter’s eyes the power of his words. How she misses her dad and wishes that he was here with her. How her heart longs to hear those words from him…

I am proud of you.

What a priceless gift Mr. Wiseman gave to my baby girl tonight. Never underestimate the power of your words and the tremendous gift your time and influence can have on blessing another! Thank you Mr. Wiseman for blessing our hearts tonight in such a way that my words cannot express our gratitude. Thank you for taking your time to come and use your words in such a loving and thoughtful way and to speak for her daddy who is not here to tell her himself. Words are powerful!! Thank you for using your words to give my MiKayla a priceless gift tonight! We love you!

Kristi grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of Minnesota at Moorhead where she completed her undergraduate studies in emotional and behavioral disorders. She moved to Arkansas where she later completed her masters in educational administration.
