Speaking

It has been a privilege to share with students my son PK’s story of an incredible old young man who was a football and basketball player and had his whole life and dreams ahead of him when he was tragically killed at the age of 18 in a car accident. While sharing his life with them through stories and pictures, my goal is to encourage them to be real when they are hurting, to be a comfort and sensitive to others who are in pain, to set goals that will help them reach their dreams, and to live with no excuses and no regrets which is the motto that came out of my son’s death.

It has been an honor to recognize the achievement whether academically or athletically of those I am speaking to while simultaneously sharing the story of my son PK. I utilize lessons learned from his life to encourage these students and athletes to reach high when setting their goals and to live with no excuses and no regrets which is the motto that came out of my son’s death.

I have had the opportunity to share the story of the lives and deaths of my only son and husband, and then to share the grief and pain and faith battles that came with these tragedies in my life. As I share my journey, my goal is to encourage others to find peace that passes understanding, hope that is beyond explanation, and for each one to find comfort and strength in their faith. I also try to encourage them to rebuild their trust in the midst of not understanding, and to be a comfort to others in their pain and grief.
